Adapting governance for complex projects

Sound governance is a critical component of reliable project success. As complexity is becoming an increasingly prominent feature of project selection and implementation, it is useful to pay attention to the interaction between governance and complexity in projects.

Building on Broadleaf’s engagement with the Risk SIG of the International Centre for Complex Project Management (ICCPM), we recently published a paper on complex project governance in the ICCPM CONNECT e-Magazine (accessible to ICCPM members). An expanded form of this paper is now available here.

The paper offers insights into methods for dealing with governance in complex projects. As there is no established practice in this area, it offers readers pointers from which they can develop their own ideas about governance in complex projects. Some references are given that readers might find useful.
