His work now has a strong emphasis on the resources and infrastructure sectors, working with all the major Australian based resources companies, while retaining his involvement in ICT and related areas, especially procurement and option selection. His work on the Landonline cost benefit risk assessment for Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) led to a KPMG award recognising innovation in the public sector for LINZ and the mandatory use of quantitative risk analysis to establish budgets and contingencies in many New Zealand public sector procurements.

After returning to Australia, Stephen joined Broadleaf Capital International in 1996.  He remains engaged in several professional groups concerned with project risk management and has a special interest in modelling uncertainty in estimates, schedules and cash flows.

He is the author of 'Practical Risk Assessment for Project Management', published by John Wiley & Sons in 1995 and co-author of 'Project Risk Management Guidelines - Managing Risk in Large Projects and Complex Procurements', published by John Wiley in 2004.
